Nutritious Beetroot Raita

Beetroot Raita is a delicious yet healthy combination that helps our eyes, skin, and hair to maintain good health.

 

Natural yogurt adds all the protein that offers nourishment, which the hair needs for proper growth and also helps to keep the digestive system calm.

 

Consuming beetroot regularly promotes optimum blood circulation which keeps the skin glowing and helps maintain a healthy scalp too.

 

This Raita has an eye-pleasing color and lip-smacking taste.

Ingredients

 

1 medium-size beetroot

½ cup natural yogurt 

½ tsp mustard seeds

5-6 curry leaves

1 slit green chilly

Salt to taste

A pinch of sugar

 

Procedure

 

Wash the beetroot and cut into halves. Pressure cook with the required amount of water until 3-4 whistles.

Grate the beetroot once cooled down.

Heat a deep bottom vessel, add mustard seeds. Let it splutter.

Add slit green chilly and curry leaves.

Add natural yogurt to the grated beetroot and give it a nice stir.

Pour the heated mix into the grated beetroot along with salt and sugar.

Mix well before serving.
