Festive preparations bring in lots of positivity and happy vibes with the making of traditional sweets and savories.
'Allundey' delicious sweet
Laddoos, yet another recipe by my Mamma, which she had learnt from her
mother-in-law, undoubtedly makes it worth trying and treasuring.
Here is a quick, easy, soft, and
tasty Laddoo recipe to try this Diwali.
Ingredients
1 cup Rava or Semolina
3/4th
cup Sugar
2 tbsp
pure ghee
A pinch
of Cardomom /Elaichi coarsely ground
3-4
strands of Kesar dry roasted and ground in powder
1 cup
thick coconut milk
½ cup thin
coconut milk
Cashew
nuts and raisins for garnishing
Procedure
In a
flat bottom pan heat the pure ghee.
Once it
is heated add rice rava to it. And roast it for 2-3 minutes.
Once
the rava seems to be roasted, add thin coconut milk to it, mix well and cover
it with a lid for 2minutes.
Add
sugar along with thick coconut milk and mix well until the mixture leaves sides
and gathers into a nice ball.
Add
elaichi and roasted ground kesar at this stage.
Mix
well and roll the mixture into round laddoos
Decorate
it with Cashewnuts and Raisins.
Tips
and Notes
These
above measurements can make around 15-16 medium size Laddoos.
Laddoos
remain good at room temperature for a day or two. Thereafter if left then shall
be stored in the fridge.
