Pan fried Salmon

Salmon has been part of our diet for a long time. K developed a love for it too hence it often forms a part of our meals. Greens go well with it and we love it with the crunchy asparagus. Simply delicious healthy meal.

Ingredients

1 slice Salmon

¼th tsp salt

1/4th tsp black pepper

2 tsp lemon juice

1-2 freshly chopped garlic/ ½ tsp garlic powder

2 tsp olive oil

½ tsp unsalted butter

2 tbsp teriyaki sauce

Procedure

Marinate the salmon with salt, pepper, lemon juice, garlic, 1tsp olive oil and set aside for 15-20min.

In a heated pan drizzle the remaining tsp olive oil along with butter. Add the Salmon and to start with face the skin side top and orange side on the pan. In around 7-8 minutes turn it over. Salmon cooks very quickly and hence overcooking can take away all its moisture hence do not overcook. Alongside can cook the pre-marinated asparagus (marinated with salt pepper garlic powder olive oil). Takes almost the same time to cook both.

Enjoy the salmon with a drizzle of Teriyaki sauce and of course the crunchy asparagus on the side.
